We started brewing Hells lager in 2010. Ten years, and a shiny second site later, we brew, bottle and keg the equivalent of 1 million pints each week. That’s a lot of beer. Which is why we’re looking for passionate and hardworking people to join our Beer Team.
This role is based Enfield, our state-of-the-art brewery (complete with robot!) which is based alongside the River Lea, just a 10-minute train journey from Hackney Downs/Tottenham Hale. We call Enfield the Home of Hells, and it’s where we produce our core range of Hells & Pale and many more!
Working on a team that produces the freshest unpasteurised beer across the UK, this is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working with a state of the art brewhouse and cellar. We are looking for passionate and hardworking people to join our brewing team.
With 3 brewing positions available, we are looking for candidates that have a strong interest in learning how to make great beer. Or just work for an awesome company! Experience in brewing is great, but not a must.
This is an opportunity to work alongside the most experienced brewers in the industry. Our brewing team can produce up to 60 brews a week – that’s over 1 million pints per week! It’s a fast-paced environment, a lot to learn, but we are always looking to make things better so there is ample opportunity to contribute to our continuous improvement programme.

The safety of our beer team is our top priority. You will ensure you and your team, work in a safe way by reporting on near misses daily
Making unpasturised beer requires the highest standards of hygiene throughout the brewery, this role requires the brewing team to undertake daily hygiene checks to ensure our beer is produced to the highest quality
High attention to detail in your daily operations
This is fast paced environment, Positive attitude with an ongoing sense of urgency
To comply with all govt. regulations required in food production facilities.
Execute all necessary brewery operations - including brewhouse, cellar management, and bright beer filtration.
A stickler for keeping accurate records and full traceability on all batches
Ensuring all SOPs are adhered to and highlight any potential improvements
Reporting ‘out of specification’ product to the Brewing Manager, or shift Team Leader prior to proceeding.
Routine maintenance (i.e. changing gaskets, seals, tightening valves)
Maintaining 5S on the production floor
Work life balance is important to us all. This position does involve working both day and night shifts, so do consider this before applying. Below is an overview of our current shift pattern.
We run production 24/7 all year round. The shift patterns our brewery staff are currently on is a Panama schedule. Our shifts are 12 hours with our day shifts starting at 6.15am to 6.15pm and shift running from 6.15pm to 6.15am. The working and non-working days follow this pattern: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. After 2 weeks of the is pattern on days, staff then move to nights following the same pattern on nights.
