Courteeners X Camden

We’re raising a beer to celebrate a decade of The Courteeners. A beer by the band, for the band.

We’re huge music fans here at Camden, made up of gig goers and playlist pushers, so we were mega excited when the Courteeners asked if they could come along to brew with us.

So, on one rainy day in February, the band came down from Manchester to Camden to join us in the brew house to make a beer to mark 10 years since the release of their first album ‘St Jude’. We sat down in the tasting room to chat malt, hops and what they wanted their beer to be.

So, here it is… Introducing St Jude Pils.
A 4.7% unfiltered lager hopped with Perle, Equinox, Citra and Galaxy (with a bit of extra dry hop of Citra and Centennial for good measure.) Brewed for the band’s rider, by the band - and now they’re giving you the chance to try it too. The beer’s fresh and fruity, just what you’d want to drink when you’re backstage getting ready to go on stage in front of thousands of people, or hitting up your favourite bar in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

Now, who wants to try it?

You can get your hands on the beer from Wednesday 4th April, launching at 12pm at a handful of the bands favourite bars across Manchester, before the band take to their huge homecoming gig at Manchester’s MEN arena on Saturday 7th April.

Pouring on the taps and in the fridge at these great bars:
- Crazy Pedro’s NQ, M1 1JG
- Crazy Pedro’s Bridge St, M3 3BQ
- Black Dog Ballroom NQ, M4 1PW
- Cane and Grain, M4 1NA

Can’t make it to Manchester this weekend?
Stay tuned and keep an eye on our Social Media for your chance to win a bottle.

God bless the band.
