BREWERS. IHL. LBW.
Hey Brewers! You rock our world. And we’re not the only ones that think you’re awesome.
The results from the International Brewing Awards came out on Friday, and we were very humbled to receive four medals. The biggest one was a gold for our IHL. We also received two silvers; one each for our Camden Pale Ale and Hells Lager, as well as a bronze for our kegged IHL. Hells Yeah!
None of this would be possible without our very talented brewing team. These awards are a truly deserved recognition of the hard work they put in, day in day out, to make our beers as great as possible. So let’s raise an icy cold can of IHL to our Brewers! Well done guys.
Here is the list of our official results-
GOLD India Hells Lager
Class 4 for Lager 5.5% - 6.9% ABV (Cans)
SILVER Pale Ale
Class 1 for Ale 2.9% - 4.4% ABV (Keg Ale)
BRONZE India Hells Lager
Class 2 for Lager, 4.8% - 6.9% ABV (Keg Lager)
Our Brewing Director Alex, Head Brewer Rob and Brewers Oscar and Pete, and the guy responsible for canning the IHL; Haralds.
BARREL AGED IHL
Meanwhile, six months ago, we barrelled a brew’s worth of the IHL in Bourbon and Tequila barrels and have been ageing it ever since.
This is now ready, in keg and bottle, just in time to kick off London Beer Week, and we want you to try it. Come down to the Kings Arms E2, tonight, from 4:30pm for a tasting, then from 6pm we’ll tap a keg. If you are sporting a LBW wrist-band we’ll give you your first half on us. See below for further information.
Can’t make it to our launch? We have our Lager Files Tuesday night, at the brewery bar, from 7pm, where Brewing Director Alex Troncoso and Head Brewer Rob Topham will be going through the art of making lager.
Wednesday we still have a couple of tickets available for our dinner at the Horseshoe with Beavertown and Left Hand Brewing. Get in quick though there’s not many! Four courses, three beers per course plus a mystery beer round. Hosted by Jasper and his good friends Chris Lennert from Colorado-based Left Hand Brewery and Beavertown’s Logan Plant.
We will also be at Craft Beer Rising from all weekend and at 5CC (the basement of the Well and Bucket) with SKA Brewing on Thursday. AND find us at Carnaby Street on Wednesday at the Craft Beer Rising Hub pop up bar.
A huge week!
