How young are you?

Or in other words, are you of legal drinking age? We have to ask because it’s the law. Just so you know.

Pacman Nope, I’m not quite there yet.

With great beer comes great responsibility

This is Enfield

Exciting things are happening here at Camden, and over the past year our new brewery has been built from the ground up in North London. The 300,000th tile has been laid and last Friday we finally got the keys to our new space. So, first things first - The whole Camden Beer Team headed out North to meet our new brewery over a few beers. Jasper christened the place with a bottle of our Beer 2016, a beer that’s taken almost as long to make as it has done to build the brewery. Start as we mean to go on, by drinking great beer and having a really ace time doing it.

So what’s going to be happening out in Enfield we hear you say? We’ve been stretched for capacity for a few years now at Camden, with an incredible team working mighty hard to create, make and pack up as much beer as possible under our arches. When Enfield opens in 2017 we’ll have the space to do more, and we can’t wait. With a bigger canning and bottling line we’re so excited to finally be able to make our full range of beers fridge friendly – that means that this time next year you could be enjoying a bottle of Ink from the comfort of your own open, opening up a can of Gentleman’s Wit on a picnic or stocking up your fridge with Unfiltered Hells found at your local bottle shop.

You’ll find us at Navigation Park, just off the M25. The building itself is carbon neutral and looks out over the River Lee. Did someone say Little Camden Beer Barge? (Oh that’s right, we did.) We’re really excited to get moving, quite literally, with the likes of Run Like Hells – our weekly run club with Advent Running along the canal as soon as possible. Beers on us at the finish line, what better?

We’re going to be looking for lots of new faces to join our Beer Team, whether that be based up in Enfield, here at Camden or out on the road in all areas that make the Camden Beer Team great. Fancy working with us? Check out our Hopportunites here.

The railway arches will still be here as the home and heart of Camden. We’ll still keep making master beer plans in our offices, brew ace beers in our brew house and catching up with friends at our new Brewery Bar, but now Camden will have more space on the mews, under the railway arches and in the brew house to keep growing, innovating and collaborating. Expect more brewery tours, parties and space for you to enjoy your beer

In fact, throughout the year we’ve been taking to the Camden Pilot Kit with our beer ideas, everything from a melon kolsch, to a strawberries and cream gelato IPA, to a butternut squash porter. We’re a lager brewery, sure - we love lager more than anything, but we’ve got lots of other beer ideas and now we have the space available. We can’t wait to start experimenting with more single batch beers for you to try over the year, and if you have any beer ideas you want to see us try and make then let us know - we’d love to hear from you.

Does that make us Enfield Town Brewery? Nope, we’re still Camden through and through. ‘HQ2’ is what we’ve been calling it so far, but we think ‘CamdEnfield Town Brewery’ has a pretty good ring to it, don’t you? The brewing equipment installment begins this week, with our first brew day booked in for the end of Spring, but stay tuned – there’ll be a big opening party and you’re all invited.
